Democratic Party presidential nominee Joe Biden just promised to force women’s homeless shelters to accept transgender “women” who are biologically male. “[By] proposing policies allowing federally funded homeless shelters to turn away transgender people and federally funded adoption agencies to reject same-sex couples, and failing to address the epidemic of violence against transgender people…the Trump-Pence Administration has led a systematic effort to undo the progress President Obama and I made,” Biden told Philadelphia Gay News.
But what Biden, and the entire Cancel America crowd, won’t mention is how traumatizing this could be for the biological women seeking shelter from their abusers. While talking about equality in housing and safety, they clearly didn’t include abused biological women who, under the proposed changes, would be forced to share their space with men.
These reforms to cancel biological sex don’t stop there. “Federally-funded adoption agencies” include many religious adoption centers, who under Biden’s administration would be forced to place children in LGBT homes — putting another Cancel America agenda above what is actually good for the child. And religious adoption centers would have to choose between federal funding and violating their conscience, which would leave thousands more children at risk with nowhere to go.
To achieve these goals, Biden would sign the Equality Act, which claims to create equality for LGBTQ+ individuals. Andrea Jones and Alex Richey of the Heritage Foundation said that the dangers of this act would range from those stated above to children of opposing sexes sharing locker rooms, girls being forced to compete against boys on track teams, taxpayer-funded transition surgery for transgender individuals, and even the allowance of male rapists into female prisons. And business owners like Jack Phillips, who fought for the right to refuse baking a gay wedding cake, wouldn’t be allowed to an appeal to conscience.
We who believe America is Good need to remember these issues when deciding who to support. Do we value every person’s safety, or just those that Cancel America deems oppressed? Our roots and traditions are being threatened, and it’s time we make our voices heard against the women who would be oppressed under these so-called “equal” policies.
