Racial equality advocate and America Is Good founder Tom Klingenstein has issued the following statement condemning a lawsuit against the Trump administration’s ban on federally-funded critical race theory training:
President Trump understands that teaching that America is systemically racist will only increase racism. Only American ideals and justice are the remedies to racism. The President deserves credit for standing up to those who teach Americans to disdain their country, and for standing for those who believe in the rule of law, equality of opportunity, and individual liberty.
Earlier this week, Klingenstein described Trump’s critical race theory ban as “perhaps the most important Executive Order he has ever issued” because America “will not survive if we teach our children…that America is racist.” Today, he said that the lawsuit is a microcosm of what is at stake on November 3:
The Trump administration’s opposition to racist white guilt training cuts to the heart of what is at stake on November 3. Biden, like those who support white guilt training, believes America is systemically racist. Trump believes just the opposite, that America is systemically just. At root, that’s the choice in this election: between a man who believes America is systemically racist and a man who believes American is systemically just.
